Structural characteristics of ZB3A rotor pump compared with centrifugal pump screw pump

ZB 3A Cam rotor pump features

(1) Comparison of rotor pump and centrifugal pump (milk pump): Centrifugal pump has been widely used due to its simple structure and low cost. Compared with the universal pump, it has the following differences:

1. The universal pump is a positive displacement pump, and the delivery flow can be controlled more accurately or easily. The output flow of the centrifugal pump is uncontrollable and decreases as the resistance increases: the universal pump has a strong self-priming capacity, and the centrifugal pump must be filled with liquid before it can be operated.

2. Rotor pump The universal pump has a very low rotation speed, generally between 200 rpm and 600 rpm, and the material to be conveyed is smoothly outputted without damaging its components. The centrifugal pump has a high rotation speed, and the material to be conveyed is subjected to strong impact and centrifugal force. Therefore, the centrifugal pump often produces a different material composition when conveying the mixture, so that the quality of the finished product is degraded. The universal pump is the best choice to solve this problem, so it is especially suitable for conveying materials or even materials containing solid particles.

3. The universal pump can be used to transport substances with high viscosity, so it is also called colloid pump. Centrifugal pumps do not have this feature.

4. The universal pump can be conveniently made into a variety of high output pressure, such as 1.5MPa, suitable for long distance or high resistance quantitative delivery.

5. The universal pump is more complicated and more expensive, which is the biggest disadvantage compared with the centrifugal pump.

(2) Comparison between rotor pump and screw pump (dense pump): Both of them belong to the volumetric pump, so their performance is basically the same - they can smoothly transport high-viscosity materials and have high delivery pressure. However, the biggest disadvantage of the screw pump determines its inapplicability in the case of hygienic requirements - due to the non-streamlined surface of the screw and the numerous stagnation points in the chamber, it is impossible to become a sanitary pump, PTFE or rubber The loss of material is more likely to cause contamination of the material being transported. Because of the streamline structure of the rotor and the fact that there are basically no dead spots and non-metal parts in the rotor chamber, the universal pump is strictly suitable for applications in industries with high hygiene requirements such as food and beverage, medicine, etc. In particular, the current production line is becoming more and more automated, and more and more CIP online (in-place) cleaning is used, which shows the importance of selecting a cam rotor universal pump.
